MOLIT Institute
Molit Institute for personalised medicine
Tumorzentrum Heilbronn-Franken (cancer centre of the Heilbronn-Franken region) of the SLK-Kliniken and the GECKO Institute for Health, Information Technology, Costs and Outcomes of Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences, the MOLIT Institute takes a pioneering role in bringing together the existing expertise in medicine and IT. The aim of its research activities is to develop concepts for applied personalised medicine and health care. MOLIT focuses on the development of innovative, personalised cancer therapies and their rapid transfer to regular medical care. The institute was founded by the oncologist Prof. Uwe Martens and the physician and IT expert Prof. Christian Fegeler.
Through collaborations and events with additional partners, the institution establishes a medical network that goes beyond the Heilbronn-Franken region. With series of lectures, such as the Heilbronn Dialogue for Personalised Medicine, MOLIT makes current scientific issues accessible and intelligible for the general public. The series of lectures takes place every two months at the Bildungscampus of the Dieter Schwarz Foundation and also provides the chance to get into conversation with the speakers.
Receiving financial support from the Dieter Schwarz Foundation, MOLIT can focus entirely on its work and research activities in the field of personalised medicine.
