NECKARBOGEN DAYCARE CENTRE

The Dieter Schwarz Foundation offers students and employees of the various Bildungscampus institutions places for their children at the daycare centre located in the new Neckarbogen district.

The “Kindertagesstätte Neckarbogen” day nursery opened its doors in October 2018; operated by the City of Heilbronn, it holds 10 daycare places for the children of parents studying or working at the Bildungscampus. Overall, the nursery will provide places for around 85 children aged between 6 months and 6 years, with plenty of opportunities to play and romp around in indoor and outdoor areas shaped by an urban nature architecture. The atrium features a landscaped playground with stairs and slides, garden and sand loggias, trees and terraces as well as seating islands. The spatial design with functional areas allows for an open-group approach. The “Kindertagesstätte Neckarbogen” day nursery provides care from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

With this support programme, the Dieter Schwarz Foundation aims to promote efforts to reconcile study/work and family life. Since the daycare centre is located close to the Bildungscampus, parents need to cover only short distances between their lecture room/office and the nursery. This is an excellent option for parents studying or working at the Bildungscampus, as long distances from the daycare centre to the office or inconvenient childcare hours often make it difficult to return to work or resume studies following a period of parental leave. This service will increase equal opportunities for parents at the Bildungscampus in the long run.
