Tandem Leadership for Learning
The TaLea – Tandem Leadership for Learning programme is strengthening the skills and competences of aspiring young teachers. When it comes to digitalisation, inclusion, and all-day schooling, leadership responsibilities are gaining importance in schools. Together with the Foundation of German Business, the Dieter Schwarz Foundation wants to boost the competences of aspiring young teachers as changemakers. In the long term, the programme aims to enable all students to achieve the best possible educational outcomes and social inclusion.
In tandem with a colleague, past graduates of the Teacher Foundations programme sharpen their leadership and management knowledge, skills, and attitude in the course of a school year. Working in tandem is supposed to increase the impact on change processes in each respective school. People take centre stage in this programme. Through concrete projects and exploration of their own questions, participants learn to solve complex tasks and experience self-efficacy in the context of shared leadership. In perspective, the leadership skills do not only help support students’ learning and knowledge acquisition in lessons but have an impact on teachers’ and organisational learning. Participants get individual coaching, along with access to exciting online talks and workshops.
